The story of Vert par Nature

Why stay at "Green by Nature"?

Deeply concerned about environmental issues, we strive in our choices and way of life to limit our impact on the planet. To be in line with this philosophy, we pay particular attention to our consumption patterns, personal choices and those made within the framework of our tourist accommodation business.

We are a couple in our fifties who adopted the Dordogne in 2019 and more specifically the Périgord Noir, after falling under the spell of the landscapes, the rhythm of the surrounding nature, the riches of this corner of France and its gentle way of life.

We use natural products for the maintenance of the property, accommodations and laundry.

The hygiene products provided during your stay are subject to rigorous criteria and selection based on their quality and limited environmental impact. We use vegan and cruelty-free products and prioritize organic products purchased from suppliers committed to these principles.

The energy and ecological footprint of the "Vert par Nature" hamlet has been improved thanks to choices and investments that have enabled:

  • By eliminating the use of fossil fuels for heating in favor of renewable energy

  • By significantly reducing electricity consumption for heating and using a larger share of renewable energy

  • Having significantly reduced electricity consumption for hot water production thanks to biomass and solar energy

  • Having significantly reduced electricity consumption for washing clothes and dishes thanks to biomass and solar energy

  • To use non-potable water as much as possible for toilet flushing

This multi-year plan to reduce dependence on fossil fuels has enabled the Hameau to reach 90% of its energy consumption from renewable sources and locally produced biomass.

All these technical solutions deployed today aim to support responsible behavior on a daily basis.

"We are committed to and strive to integrate this 18th-century living space, nestled in the forest on its hillside in the Beunes valley, into a responsible approach, rooted in the present and looking towards the future."

Staying at Hameau Vert par Nature means choosing a holiday destination with a thoughtful and measured ecological impact.
